Let’s take a break from our regularly scheduled foyer obsessing to congratulate my little ladies who finished school today. Since it was 100 degrees here, we decided to celebrate the last day of school by going to the pool. And apparently everyone else in town had the same idea!
Sophia finished her first year of elementary school and is left wondering why there was no graduation for first graders. (Makes sense. She’s had graduations for both years of pre-K and kindergarten!) Her teacher gave her this sweet frame with a picture of them together and a poem on the back. Obviously, I welled up when she read the poem. (Any other saps out there? OK – here’s the poem: I’m glad I was your teacher, I’ve come to love you so, I can’t believe the end is here, I hate to see you go! Remember all the fun we had, in all the things we did, but most of all remember…you’re a very special kid.
All together now…Awwwwww
Since Lily goes to daycare, it wasn’t really the last day of school but they did have a big Alphabet Recognition Party to finish up the “school” year. Her teachers gave her an adorable photo album with tons of pictures of her throughout the year.
I can’t believe my babies are growing up so fast!
Congratulations to the future graduates of WHS class of 2023 and class of 2026!
