First off, I just want to apologize for my absence. Hurricane Sandy was hell on all of us and we’re still not back on our feet after 11 days. Lily’s school got power back just yesterday and Sophia’s school finally opened again today. Not only have I not had time to blog, but it also just felt silly to worry about things like decorating when some people don’t even have homes after this horrible storm. On the bright side, I’ve seen some beautiful things in the people of New York and New Jersey over the last weeks. This hasn’t been easy but we’ll get through it. If you’d like to help NY and NJ, please donate to the Red Cross.
And now…back to business!
I’m fully addicted to One Kings Lane. Not a day goes by that I don’t check out all the daily sales. And there’s one sale in particular that I’m really looking forward to. Mark your calendars, people. Because, Ivy and Vine will be at One Kings Lane starting on November 11th!
You may know Ivy and Vine as the fantastic home decor and custom furniture website. But I know it as the brainchild of my friend Heather Hogan Roberts. Heather and I met over a decade ago when I was a Fashion Editor at ELLE and Heather was the Fashion Director on the advertising side of the magazine. I remember back in those days spending countless hours with Heather obsessing over every detail of our weddings. A lot has changed for both of us since then (5 kids between the two of us!) but Heather is still the creative, hard-working, and fabulous tastemaker I knew back then.
I mean…isn’t her family adorable?
Heather’s furniture and decor sensibility comes naturally to her. Her taste is a bit classic and preppy (that must be the New England upbringing), and a bit cool and fashionable (years in New York City can be thanked for that) with a whole lot of southern charm (she and her husband Read are raising their family in Atlanta). And I’m sure you’re going to love every last bit of it.
Let’s take a peek at some of the goodies you can snatch up on One Kings Lane come Sunday.
I love the painted interior of this baby.
Check out the curved leg detail here. It’s divine!
Lucite legs. Zebra seat. I’m done.
These could be good friends with my foyer.
Just what I never knew I always needed.
Yes! Just yes, you red chandi, you!
Leopard chair. Meow!
In case you’re wondering, this guy is 17″ high. (Kinda perfect, right?)
I love this sweet color and the greek key ribbon trim is so simple, yet perfect.
Here kitty kitty kitty.
There’s tons more so be sure to check out the sale. Oh, and did I mention that the prices will be up to 50% off? But you better check it out quick because I might just get that elephant head before you do!
One last thing: If you’re totally digging Heather’s style, you can hire her to help fix up your home. She takes on projects of all sizes so contact Heather here for more info.
